New elected Board of Directors

For Immediate Release -(Montreal, Canada ? March 9, 2010)

 The Canadian Muslim Forum (CMF-FMC) announced earlier today, its new elected Board of Directors for the next two years, in keeping with the organization
?s constitution. 
 

The Board elected Samer Majzoub as new president replacing Mohammad Sherif Kamel. The Board members also include: Bilal Hamideh, Kathy Malas, Houssam Badran, Nermine Barbouch; Ahmed Abdel Kader Mohamed; and, Mohammad El Jundi.
 

CMF-FMC was created in 1993 as a coalition of community organizations to represent the collective interests of the Muslim community in the areas of public policy, civil liberties and human rights.
?The CMF has always sought to bring the Montreal area community together on issues of importance.

We have also grown as an organization over the years, allowing us to issue regular federal and provincial election report cards and host our annual Ramadan dinner,
? said Samer Majzoub, CMF President.  ?The CMF is a dynamic organization. For the next two years, the Board members and I, firmly intend on building upon our past progress and maintaining growth ? so that we can continue to contribute to Quebec and Canada, and make our home a better place to live in,? added Mr. Majzoub.

 
 ?Mohamed Sherif Kamel dedicated years of work within the CMF-FMC, including two years as president. He worked and contributed a lot to the promotion of human rights through the Canadian Muslim Forum. We thank him for his important contributions to the community," said Majzoub.
